Hogmanay at the Melville

Where else would you want to bring in the New Year than in the capital city of the land of "Auld Lang Syne"? Enjoy the biggest street party in the world with carnival rides, street entertainment, bands, concert and fireworks.

We will extend to you our usual high standard of service with breakfast on New Years Day at the civilised time of 10 a.m. to 12 noon

Royal Bank Street Party Tickets

No Guest Houses in Edinburgh are allocated any Street Party Tickets by the organisers. Please visit Edinburgh's Official Hogmanay web site for details of how to obtain tickets or Membership of the First Foot Club. Membership comes with a Street Party Ticket.

Transport

We are a short bus ride from the city centre and a taxi costs a mere £9; but we are only a phone call away at any time, should you require assistance.

Tariff

The price is 40 pounds per person per night (45 pounds per person per night for the four-poster bed) with a minimum stay of four nights. A non-refundable deposit of 40 pounds per person is required to secure a booking and the whole balance is due by 1st December.

We can accommodate parties of up to 15 people and would be happy to discuss any specific requirements.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your booking before 1st December then the deposit will not be refunded (or we will charge one night to your credit card). If you cancel your booking after 31st November or fail to show up, we will make every effort to re-let your room(s) and if we are successful, all but your deposit will be refunded. We would expect that you would have travel insurance to cover either eventuality.
